Overview

Our client is seeking a Program Manager that will have Integration and Merger/Acquisition experience.  This is a contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the project coordinators and project managers are managing the time-lines, milestones, and resource allocations for all their assigned integration initiatives
  • Act as the escalation point for initiative issues
  • Ensure initiative progress meetings are held regularly and risks are properly identified
  • Monitor integration status and ensure that time-lines are updated, resource allocations are modified, and initiatives are re-prioritized as needed
  • Allocate initiative resources effectively to ensure that employees are not overloaded and that they have the capacity to complete projects at any given time
  • Provide regular updates to senior leaders as appropriate
  • Responsible for ensuring all time-frames are managed to the approved projection and any deviations therefrom are communicated and approved as soon as discovered
  • Partner across organization lines with peers in support of cross-functional value initiatives and to collaborate on common management goals
  • Develop and/or improve clear and effective resource management tools
  • Plan for risk and develop strategies for dealing with potential risks
  • Manage the development and maintenance of project management policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership, training, and guidance to project managers
  • Assist and advise project managers and initiative stakeholders on acquisition integration best practices
  • Develop positive relationships with task owners and sponsors to facilitate tracking and reporting on initiatives

 

Qualifications

Experience/Minimum Requirements: 

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management, with a preference for at least ten (10) years in project management developing project management processes, techniques and tools
  • Previous experience managing large, transformational projects and in facilitating change that requires collaboration with senior-level stakeholders

Education/Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field required
  • PMP certification, equivalent project management experience, or previous consulting experience desired
