Overview

Our Client, a global consulting firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, has an immediate need for a Web Developer who will become a key member of their Marketing team, in support of the Company’s global public digital presence.

 

This individual will be responsible for creating new functionality for how people/products/solutions are found, new navigational structures, as well as testing, and optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong web development background (roughly 80% front end/20% back end) and experience with all aspects of web development, management & administration, and content management systems.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop high-quality digital experiences including websites, emails and other marketing campaigns across our global online properties
  • Build responsive web pages, and other user-facing features with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages including SQL
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Optimization of Web sites for maximum speed and scalability on all devices.
  • Implementing Mobile-First Design and Development Concepts, understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms (adaptive and responsive), and optimizing output to match the specific platform
  • Assist with managing our Content Management Systems in the development of dynamic templates, customization of Web pages and user interface components to support a library of easily reusable components.
  • Assist with the administration of the Content Management System’s users, roles, workflows and training.
  • HTML/Code debugging and QA testing utilizing tools such as the built-in browser debuggers, Fiddler, and External browser testing such as BrowserStack or SauceLabs.
  • Support global CMS implementation, supporting content and interface design in 15+languages.
  • Collaborate with content experts and digital concept designers to a creative, cohesive and engaging user experience.
  • Ensure current SEO best practices are built into all development projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or greater in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web/Digital Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years related experience in Web design/development and management working within an enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS), with an existing brand, and in integrating Web assets as well as managing complex functions related to these tools (e.g. KenticoCMS or others, including SharePoint, SiteCore, Ektron, OpenText, WordPress).
  • Must have expertise with Web design, UI/UX and graphics using standard Web design/development software such as Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with development aiding tools (Visual Studio)
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git,VSO)
  • In-depth understanding and working knowledge of Web development programming languages including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks( including Bootstrap 4, AngularJS and JQuery), W3C standards, browser compatibility, accessibility guidelines
  • SQL syntax and transformation concepts
  • Expert knowledge of the modern web stack – from the presentation tier (HTML/CSS/JS) to webservers and caching, server-side development (including database development), and the management of hosting infrastructure
