Our Client, an industry-leading provider of innovative technology services to the communications industry, is currently seeking candidates for a System Administrator role. This individual will ensure the health, performance, and security of the corporate server and network infrastructure, and will contribute to several new high-profile projects within the company.


Located in the Canonsburg area, this Contract-to-Hire role is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, growing company.


  • Patch software, servers and appliances regularly.
  • Maintain integrity of the corporate network.
  • Monitor and report on system health regularly.
  • Assist in the implementation of proper security protocols and ensure they are followed.
  • Provide configuration, maintenance and, administration support for server infrastructure, network infrastructure, and hosted services.
  • Escalate technical issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain disaster recovery infrastructure, test regularly and provide reporting.
  • Assist with documentation of technical infrastructure.
  • Assist in the deployment of infrastructure in support of business initiatives.



  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role
  • 3+ years’ experience configuring and managing Linux servers
  • Expertise with Windows servers, 2008R2 or better, VMWare Vsphere, Active Directory
  • Ability to utilize infrastructure automation tools such as SALTStack, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Working knowledge of Cisco IOS.
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Ability to work a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, including night, weekend, and overnight availability from time to time


  • Previous use of SQL, postgres and MSSQL.
  • Experience with Symantec Backup Exec
  • Working knowledge of at least one scripting language - Bash, Powershell, or Python
  • Experience with Graylog, ELK (or similar)
  • Experience with Asana, Jira and Confluence
