Our client, a leader in their industry is actively seeking a Software Engineer for a 12 month contract assignment in the Monroeville, PA area. This role will be responsible for building modular enterprise Javascript applications.


  • Team-oriented Software Engineer with a solid background in building modular enterprise Javascript applications following software best practices.
  • Pursues excellence in software craftsmanship and leads by example. 
  • Developing user experience and front-end architecture. 
  • Applying new technologies to solve difficult problems 


  • Four (4) years or more professional experience building Javascript web applications using 
    component architecture. 
  • Fluency with AngularJS, Node, and Express 
  • Strong experience with Javascript task runners (NPM/Yarn/Grunt/Gulp) 
  • Strong experience with Javascript test frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma 
  • Strong experience working with Restful APIs 
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns as well as prototypical 
  • Outstanding attention to detail and software quality. 
  • Familiar with principles of Continuous Integrations and Continuous Deployment 
  • Familiar with source control management using Git and GitLab or Github 
  • Strong expertise with HTML, CSS, and writing cross-browser compatible code. 
  • Experience with CSS frameworks (Bootstrap). 
  • CSS pre-processors (LESS, SASS). 
  • Familiarity with usability and accessibility best practices. 
  • Experience working in an agile environment.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with CloudFoundry, Heroku, AWS, Docker or similar 
  • Familiar with principles of 12-Factor Applications 
  • Experience or familiarity with behavior-driven (BDD) and test-driven development (TDD) 
  • Understanding of and/or experience with Java and Spring Framework 
  • Healthcare development background
