Overview

Our client, a leader in their industry, is actively seeking a Webmethods Administrator for a 6 month contract in the Columbus, Ohio area. This role will be accountable for the installation, administration and support of the webMethods product suite within a large scale integration environment.  This position requires expert knowledge of the webMethods product suite, clustered JMS solutions including foreign providers, SSL set up and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced level technical product support of Middleware technologies including response to user questions, installation, system monitoring, testing, problem diagnosis/tracking/resolution, and routine maintenance.
  • May perform some programming and may be responsible for script writing.
  • Recognized as expert in field, knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices.
  • Facilitate and perform the delivery of technical services including the preparation of cost justifications, application requirements, alternate solutions, and technical recommendations.
  • Conducts the most complex and vital work critical to the organization.
  • Works without supervision with complete latitude for independent judgment.
  • May mentor less experienced peers and display leadership as needed.

Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. 
  • Minimum of 8 years Middleware Administration related experience (in addition to any experience identified above)
  • At least 4 years of hands on experience with SoftwareAG webMethods Suite
  • Working knowledge of AIX and RedHat Linux Operating Systems
  • Strong understanding of webMethods Clusters, Integration and Trading Networks Servers, MywebMethods, JMS and Broker queues and topics
  • Debugging developer services experience would be a plus
  • Experience on webMethods API portal suite is huge plus
  • Working knowledge and experience in Shell scripting
  • Familiar with Web Authentication and Authorization systems, including LDAP, Active Directory and single-sign on
  • Ability to work within a fast paced team environment
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to balance multiple priorities successfully
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting systems or applications
  • Ability to assemble and clearly present technical information to non-technical people
  • Customer service focused

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field or Associated degree with 2 years system administration related experience

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED with 4 years system administration related experience.
