    Our client, a leader in their industry, is actively seeking a Support Technician for a 12 month contract assignment in the Columbus, Ohio area. This role will provide initial employee support for technical inquiries received via phone, email, and messaging applications.

     

    This role will be 1st shift hours; schedules may vary but in between the hours of 6a-6p 

    Responsibilities

    • Provide initial employee support for technical inquiries received via phone, email, and messaging applications.
    • Assess the nature of problems and resolve basic support issues.
    • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues on laptops, desktops, tablets, and/or smartphones.
    • Log or record support tickets and/or cases.
    • For more complex issues, transfer internal customers to second-level Help Desk Technicians.
    • Performs routine assignments as directed. Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment.
    • Demonstrate and apply basic to intermediate level technical literacy, knowledge and skills in the major technical disciplines. 
    • Candidates may be asked to work shifts including nights, weekends & holidays.

    Qualifications

    • Must have customer service skills/background.
    • Customer service experience can be other than IT .
    • Prior phone support preferred.
    • Basic IT troubleshooting knowledge preferred. 

    Education:

    • Associate Degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
