Responsible for the day-to-day operations and monthly closing aspects of the Job Cost Accounting system.
Prepare entries for the general ledger in compliance with established rules and principles of general accounting.
Complete job cost analyses on a monthly basis.
Process, review and post weekly job cost reports.
Responsible for the following job cost tasks for assigned Area: open/convert jobs, ensure correct job type is selected, review submitted budgets, activate budgets, close jobs and review weekly reports.
Responsible for abstracting accounting information from customer and land use agreements (SCN only)
Work with various levels of management and non-management staff to identify, investigate and explain variances between budget and actual costs.
Responsible for planning, recommending and implementing changes in the job cost accounting system.
Reconcile Work-In-Process (WIP) and Construction-In-Process (CIP) reports on a monthly basis to general ledger.
Maintain and update job cost templates as needed.
Conduct and prepare non-routine projects and reports as directed by the Accounting Manager.
Five (5) years of experience in construction or real estate industries and/or public accounting with job costing experience in construction or real estate
