    Our client, a leader in their industry, is hiring an Instructional Designer for a long term contract position. This position is located in the Canonsburg area. This position will be responsible for the planning, organization, design and development of instructional training materials multi-media, and programs to meet employee training and development needs. This role will assist the team from ideation to execution. This role will help with creative exploration, design concepts, building training content, producing video content and motion graphics.


    • Designs and develops instructional material for customer training courses that support company objectives.
    • Create media to support learning (e.g. visual aids for face-to-face, various multimedia for e-learning and online.)
    • Develops content and design for mobile learning platforms, traditional web-based training, virtual and traditional instructor-led training.
    • Partners with subject matter experts and manages internal partnerships to ensure that training programs align with organizational goals.
    • Responsible for maintaining existing materials and reviewing course content to ensure that it is up to date.
    • Manages the consistency and execution of the curriculum development documentation.
    • Focuses on identifying and incorporating cutting-edge technology and training solutions that meet the needs of the business.
    • Stays current with industry best practices, blended learning resources, and benchmarked solutions related to the design and development of training content.
    • Adapt to organizational, market, and technological changes quickly and creatively.
    • Manages and contributes creatively to training development projects, including research, content development and learning design.


    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in instructional design/development or related work
    • Demonstrated expertise with eLearning software and content development tools such as Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, or similar tools.
    • Familiarity with graphic design, illustration, video production, or flash development.
    • Demonstrated flexibility, creativity and innovation in course design
    • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in the following technology:
      • Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, and Flash
        Adobe Captivate
      • Taleo Learning Management System
      • Articulate Storyline
      • Mobile Learning
    • Experience performing functions associated with a multimedia production studio
      Demonstrated knowledge of HTML


    • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline preferred
