Our client is hiring a Software Engineer. This is a direct hire full-time position located to the north of the city of Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience.
Create presentations on software use and capabilities.
Provide presentation training to clients sale partners.
Develop thorough software functionality test plans.
Perform test plans, document results and correct deficiencies.
Coordinate with other UPSD departments to satisfy project scope requirements for custom developed software.
Maintain clients test lab software.
Produce memos, letters, technical bulletins and other communication for internal and external distribution.
Obtain vendor quotes for peripheral equipment and ensure compliance to clients specifications and design.
Maintain existing and develop new software for clients provided UPSD equipment.
Create and maintain documentation for all clients developed software including technical specifications, internal code documentation, customer user manuals and service support documents.
Develop software interfaces that represent the electrical distribution system. Verify the interactions between the software, the UPS and electrical switchgear are correct, take into account safety considerations and protect the electrical system.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years’ experience with systems engineering software and human machines interfaces, or equivalent education and experience.
Broad knowledge of power distribution or UPS systems.
Broad knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) based networks.
Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously.
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products and CAD software.
