Assembler

Location: Onsite- Pittsburgh PA 

Job Type: Full Time

Work Authorization: US Citizen, No C2C

The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for an Assembler position.  Ideal candidates would have previous Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.  Hours for this role are from 2:00pm-10:30pm Mon-Fri.

• Assembles all required products and inspects material for compliance to manufacturing specifications using the work instructions, work orders, sketches, engineering drawings and instructions
• Sets up and operates hydraulic and hand presses
• Uses various hand-tools, power-tools (such as pneumatic torque wrench, screwdriver and electric drill) taps, and glues for assembling, wiring cleaning, rustproofing and handling filters and components
• Inspects final assembly and/or product to ensure quality meets all specifications
• Works in other assembly support functions including but not limited to washing, testing, and repairing
• Cross trains on different job tasks within the department
• Utilizes company-wide computer system to check on stock, access engineering drawings, check on work order status and other job-related manufacturing transactions as required
• Disassembles filters returned to SI for credit, as required
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education

• High school diploma or GED is required or work-equivalent job experience

Experience

• Experience in assembly work is preferred
• Experience in the fluid power industry and or manufacturing environment is preferred
• Ability to operate an overhead crane is preferred
• Willingness to obtain a forklift certification, or ability to drive a forklift is required
