The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer position in the Pittsburgh area.  Ideal candidates must have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5+ years' related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Designing electrical systems by creating schematics and selecting equipment that meets the electrical requirements of the project
  • Coordinating with other engineers to ensure that all systems are integrated and coordinated properly
  • Conducting calculations to determine electrical loads, voltage drop, and system sizing requirements
  • Preparing technical reports, including load studies and short circuit studies, which are used to ensure the electrical system meets safety and performance standards
  • Managing projects from start to finish, including coordinating with other engineers, adhering to budgets, and overseeing construction and installation
  • Ensuring that all electrical systems and equipment comply with local and national codes and regulations
  • Troubleshooting problems with electrical systems and equipment, and developing solutions to resolve issues

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering 

Experience

  • 5+ years experience in the design and coordination of electrical systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software
  • Must be detail oriented and quality driven
  • Must have strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, architectural, structural and mechanical construction documents
  • Must be detail oriented and quality driven
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and execute multiple assignments simultaneously
