Location: Onsite/Some WFH - Pittsburgh

Job Type: Full Time

Work Authorization: US Citizen, No C2C

 

The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer position in the Pittsburgh area.  Ideal candidates must have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 8+ years' related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate electrical systems for MEP Projects 
  • Ensure that all designs are compliant with local codes and regulations
  • Provide technical expertise to project managers and other engineers
  • Work closely with clients and contractors to ensure project success
  • Manage project timelines and budgets
  • Survey existing site conditions and capturing those conditions utilizing a 3D Laser scanner
  • Create complete and accurate drawings, plans, diagrams, details, & Notes for use in construction document packages
  • Conduct site visits and provide support during construction 
  • Review and approve shop drawings and submittals
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance 
  • Participate in business development and client relations activities

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; PE License Preferred

Experience

  • 8+ years experience in the design and coordination of electrical systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
  • Proficient in AutoCad, Revit, and other design software
  • Must be detail oriented and quality driven 
  • Must have strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, architectural, structural, and mechanical construction documents
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Experience in business development and client management
