Business Intelligence Developer- remote

The A.C. Coy company has an immediate opening for a Business Intelligence Developer.  The individual in this role would not only develop BI Reports and analytics but also co-own the SQL Server DW. 

• Develop, maintain, and optimize BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using tools such as Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable insights
• Co-own the SQL Server data warehouse, taking responsibility for its design, architecture, performance tuning, and ongoing maintenance
• Lead efforts to streamline data extraction, transformation, and loading processes within the data warehouse environment
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, and queries to support BI initiatives and ensure data integrity
• Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed decision-making
• Provide technical expertise and support to end users for BI tools, data warehouse operations, and related systems
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in BI, data warehousing, and analytics, and proactively recommend innovations to enhance our capabilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or 7+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, with expertise in BI report development and data visualization
• Extensive experience with SQL programming and SQL Server or similar relational databases
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and optimize data warehouse solutions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and initiatives

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ETL processes and tools, such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
• Knowledge of advanced analytics, data modeling techniques, and predictive analytics
• Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions, such as Azure Analytics or AWS Redshift
• Relevant certifications in BI development, data warehousing, or related fields
