The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Representative position.  Ideal candidates must have an Associates degree in engineering or other technical field with at least 1 year of relatable work experience and or training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative support to internal and external customers of all products that will include but are not limited to:
    • Develop technical and/or commercial information for customer quotations and presentations
    • Respond to customer technical inquiries regarding product specifications, applications, and performance
    • Resolve product and/or workflow issues in assigned departments and across department lines
    • Interact with distributors, customers, and internal personnel to identify and help solve problems
    • Process corrective actions as issues arise
  • Develop an understanding and knowledge base of all product lines, policies and procedures
  • Work with product management to resolve product performance, applications, and how to process warranty issues to the mutual satisfaction of the customer and company
  • Complete technical product training and presentations as required for in-house and in the field
  • The Technical Sales Representative must be able to travel, including driving and on occasion domestic travel within North America. This travel is to develop an understanding of the requirements needed to support field staff, distributors and customers and is required
  • Perform other related duties as necessary

Qualifications

Education

  • Associates degree in engineering or technical field

Experience

  • Knowledge of fluid power/hydraulics is preferred
  • Experience in the fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Certification in one of the approved International Fluid Power Society certification within two years of starting this position
  • Telephone based customer service experience is desirable
  • An understanding of ERP software, SAP experience is a plus
  • One year experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SharePoint and a CRM program is a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking and organizational skills
