SR.SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Location: Hybrid north of Pittsburgh

The A.C. Coy company has an immediate opening for a Sr. Systems Administrator.  Ideal candidates must have 5+ years of Systems Administration experience having worked with Windows 2019/2022 and Exchange.  

• Install, configure, and administer Exchange software within a multi- client/server environment
• Responsible for Break/Fix recovery methodologies and the ability to perform each
• Establish and administer security
• Monitor and optimize performance
• Work closely with application teams to provide input and oversight responsibility for the logical and physical design
• Understand the application use of the associated technologies
• Plan and implement disaster recovery
• Perform long-term strategic planning for:  growth, upgrades, operating system upgrades, hardware capacity, and hardware migrations
• Participate in the research, evaluation, and purchase of future platforms
• Remain current with the state of major cloud vendors’ service offerings
• Work within cross-functional teams to implement and administer cloud platform solutions using automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code

• Windows system administration - 5+ years
• Windows Security (ex: Operating System support for applications, such as File Transfer based applications, Service Account Ownership remediation, Password resets for Service Accounts) - 5+ years
• Infrastructure Patching & Validation - 5+ years
• MS Exchange Administration - 2+ years
• Evaluate and Patch servers (ex: Windows 2019 servers using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager) - 2+ years
• Windows 2019 and 2022 - 2+ years
• Install, configure, and administer the operating system, mail system, peripheral devices, and networking protocols - 5+ years
• Perform system administration; security, file and directory permissions, adding/deleting users, etc.
• Task automation; batch, queuing and scheduling - 5+ years
