Tax Manager

Location: Cleveland, OH - 100% On-site (relocation assistance offered if needed)

The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for a Tax Manager. This position will oversee the entire state and local tax compliance, apportionment, audit inquires and provisions for a business operating in more than 30 states. Ideal candidates will have Big 4 experience, a CPA or MBA, management experience, and strong grasp of form 1220 and ASC 740 & 805.

• Coordinate and manage the preparation and submission of state and local tax returns and supporting work papers for business units located in 30+ states
• Manage the development of company and consolidated projections of current and future state and local income taxes
• Assist with the preparation of federal income tax returns
• Manage tax research and planning
• Manage state and local income tax audits and inquires
• Develop and document company state and local tax positions, providing guidance on complex sales and local income tax issues

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or MBA required

Required Experience

• Big 4 experience working with state and local taxes of businesses in multiple states
• Experience managing a team and supporting individual professional development
• Knowledge of form 1120 and ASC 740 & 805
• Ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments and external auditors
