Business Analyst- onsite/hybrid, Dallas, TX

The A.C.Coy Company has an immediate need for a Business Analyst for an onsite/hybrid- full time opportunity.  Day to day duties include; performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, gap analysis, defining user requirements and development specifications, and assistance with UAT (user acceptance testing).

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders (both internal and external) to understand their requirements, objectives, and challenges
• This involves active listening and effective communication
• Gather and document business requirements, processes, and workflows. This step is crucial for creating a clear understanding of what needs to be achieved
• Functional Specifications:
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring that technical teams have a clear understanding of what needs to be built
• Effectively communicate with, and influence, key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements, and operational decisions
• Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing to ensure that implemented solutions meet the specified requirements and are of high quality
• Assist in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and technology teams, to ensure alignment and successful solution design
• Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to overall organizational effectiveness
• Propose innovative solutions and creating detailed documentation (such as business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories)
• Ensure that proposed solutions align with the organization’s strategic goals and technological capabilities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring transparency and accountability

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.

• 5 years of verifiable experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Familiarity with traditional and Agile project management methodologies and software development lifecycles
• Knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence, etc
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is advantageous
