Accounting Policy Analyst

Location: Hybrid - Downtown Pittsburgh, PA - 2 days remote

Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card

The A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for an Accounting Policy Analyst. Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a technical accounting role, experience searching and evaluating accounting policies, and experience with SEC reporting requirements.

• Assist with establishing accounting policies and transaction interpretations including researching, interpreting, and applying new GAAP rules
• Prepare technical accounting journal entries
• Assist with preparing financial statements including footnotes and MD&A
• Conduct monthly account reconciliations including SEC filings
• Assist with preparing SEC reporting
• Support testing internal controls over financial reporting
• Support compliance with risk management requirements and best practices over data governance

Education Required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CPA preferred

Experience Required

• 3+ years of experience in a technical accounting role
• Demonstrated experience researching and evaluating accounting policies and transactions
• Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Workiva Wdesk platform is a plus
• Experience working in Financial Services industry is a plus
