Technical Accounting Director

Location: Hybrid in Pittsburgh, PA

The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for a Technical Accounting Director.  Ideal candidates must have 10+ years of technical accounting experience either from a public firm or a manufacturing facility's external reporting team with demonstrated experience handling accounting for derivatives and hedging in accordance with ASC 815.

• Advise stakeholders using strategic thinking to resolve global accounting concerns and financial transactions including treasury arrangements, restructuring, currency valuation, complex commercial contracts, etc. 
• Manage and prepare the accounting and reporting for derivatives and embedded derivatives
• Prepare and present reports to senior financial management
• Manage SEC reporting and accounting considerations for M&A transactions
• Work collaboratively with Strategy, Corporate Development, Transformation, and Tax teams to evaluate opportunities and design deal structures
• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and periodic SEC filings
• Manage 1-2 technical accountants

Education Required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CPA required

Experience Required

• Experience with accounting for derivatives and hedging in accordance with ASC 815
• Strong grasp of SEC reporting requirements
• 10+ years experience in an accounting role with a minimum of 4 of those years in either public accounting or manufacturing (on the external reporting team)
• Hyperion Financial Management experience preferred
