One of Preferred in the Safety/Protection Industry has a direct has a direct hire Product Training Specialist  position, The deal candidate will have a solid background in training and development, exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of the product portfolio, and a passion for promoting workplace safety,  You will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive training programs to customers and distribution partners, ensuring they understand and effectively utilize our products. This could be100% remoted and 50-75% travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs, materials, and resources for customers and distribution partners.
  • Conduct engaging, interactive training through in-person workshops, webinars, online courses, and other mediums.
  • Collaborate with sales managers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather insights for content development.
  • Customize training programs to meet the specific needs of different audiences, including customers, distributors, sales teams, and support representatives.
  • Adapt training to address the unique requirements of various industries, job roles, and skill levels.
  • Emphasize best practices, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance in all training materials and sessions.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using feedback, metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Stay current on product updates, new features, and industry trends to ensure training materials are relevant.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to trainees, addressing questions and concerns as needed.
  • Identify training gaps and develop strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors or training partners as necessary.

Maintain professionalism and represent the company positively in all interactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, communication, business, or a related field preferred or four years of related training experience.
  • Certification in training or instructional design is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or similar.
  • Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, product training, or safety training.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, MSHA, ANSI, NFPA).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
