Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid, Pittsburgh Pa

Job Type: Full Time

The A.C Coy Company has an immediate need for a Data Engineer role.  Ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience with data engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure services and power BI.

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics to support data integration, transformation, and loading processes
• Oversee the optimization of data storage solutions, including data lakes and data warehouses, ensuring data is organized, accessible, and secure
• Utilize data pipelines and triggers to create and deliver data files reliably and repeatably
• Utilize Power BI and other tools to create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders
• Work closely with stakeholders, and leadership to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and storage solutions to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval
• Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in data engineering, Azure technologies, and data visualization tools, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the team

Education

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related

Experience

• 5 years of experience in data engineering using Microsoft Azure services and Power BI
• Proficient in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Proficienct in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics\
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems
• Strong knowledge of Power BI for creating reports and dashboards
• Understand programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
