Project Engineer

• Responsible for the overall engineering and design of telecom projects
• Detail reviews of site design and structure attachment prior to approval as Engineer of Record
• Perform ancillary civil/structural design and/or analysis on various structures such as equipment pads, steel platforms, antenna mounts, H-frames, etc
• Recommend civil and mechanical design changes for telecom sites
• Develop, maintain and own tools, standards and training, as applicable
• Review structural documentation for consistency with the overall project
• Perform quality audit of work products from external parties, as required
• Respond to consultation work order requests
• Communicate useful updates in accordance with project expectations

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Equivalent

Certifications

• Successful completion of PE Exam required. PE License preferred

Preferred Experience

• Experience using MS Excel or other related software for engineering calculations
• Understanding spatial relationships to resolve potential interference issues
• Understanding of structural load paths
• Knowledge of bolted and welded connection design
• Experience using tnxTower and/or RISA 3D software
• Experience or knowledge of steel shop fabrication processes and/or knowledge of fabrication shop tools and capabilities
• Experience or knowledge in tower/reinforcement erection and/or knowledge of tower construction equipment and practices
• Must have experience in leading projects 
• Detail oriented and self-motivated
• Must have strong customer relations and communication skills
• Open to innovative solutions utilizing developing technology
