The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for a Secure Network Operations Center (SNOC) Engineer.  Ideal candidates must have 4+ years of functional enterprise network design, engineering and operations experience. 

Responsibilities

 

A typical day in this role will involve providing support and managing the network for the Client. Responsibilities include both Security and Network Operations Center and Technical Analyst support.  The individual in this role will spend the majority of their time on network responsibilities, including network design, support, and leading related projects. Responsibilities will include offboarding, managing the Security and Network Operations Center queue, and providing security support.

 

  • Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
  • Deploy network and security technology
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal network performance
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to alerts from network and security tools and services
  • Monitor network traffic and performance to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures
  • Conduct root cause analysis for network outages or performance degradations and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with IT, Cloud and cybersecurity teams to ensure the network is secure and adheres to compliance standards
  • Manage and support WAN/LAN connectivity, including VPNs and remote access solutions
  • Review existing system design and architecture and make network, cloud, and security-related recommendations
  • Contributes to the design, development, and testing of hardware, software, and cloud-based systems to ensure they are protected against cyber threats
  • Maintain hardware and software tools used to support network and security operations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
  • Monitor and analyze threat intelligence feeds and industry news to stay abreast of current and emerging security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats
  • Participate in change management and incident review as needed. Document changes and actions in change management and ticketing systems
  • Act as the escalation point for Technical Analysts (Helpdesk).

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.

Certifications:

  • CompTIA Network+  or CCNA or CCNP -  Required

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of functional enterprise network design, engineering, and operations experience

  • Experience across a variety of security products including, but not limited to, firewalls, network, and host-based intrusion detection (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS), security information event monitoring (SIEM) software, email, and web security gateways, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and data loss prevention

  • SD-WAN - experience setting up sites

  • IPsec Tunnel - configuration experience
  • Experience spinning up a VM on the cloud
  • VLAN- set up, configuration, assign to the correct port experience
  • Cloud networking experience - build a cloud infrastructure
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for HIPAA, PII, etc

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center and the security tools in Microsoft 365

  • Hands-on experience with complex network systems and familiarity with the latest technologies

  • Expertise in network security, disaster recovery planning, and advanced troubleshooting
