Network Administrator

Location: Hybrid arrangement; Office located near Downtown Pittsburgh, PA

A.C. Coy is currently seeking candidates for a Network Administrator role. This individual will be responsible for managing and securing both on-premises and cloud-based network infrastructure, including the administration of FortiGate firewalls, VLANs, Cisco and Ubiquiti networking equipment, and Azure networking components.

Our ideal candidate will have five or more years of experience in a similar role and a strong background with FortiGate firewalls and Cisco networking equipment.

• Administer network infrastructure: FortiGate firewalls, Cisco switches/routers, and Ubiquiti/UniFi devices
• Design and manage VLANs, routing protocols, and Layer 3 segmentation
• Support hybrid cloud networking: Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute (if applicable)
• Monitor and optimize network performance using tools
• Implement and troubleshoot VPNs, IPS/IDS, and perimeter security
• Support Wi-Fi infrastructure for secure and reliable wireless access
• Assist with incident response and network-related investigations
• Document network topology, configurations, and change logs

Required:

• 5+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role
• Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls and Cisco networking equipment
• Expertise in VLAN configuration, network segmentation, and routing protocols
• Strong understanding of network security protocols, including VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control policies
• Experience with Ubiquiti/Unifi network devices for enterprise connectivity
• Proficiency in Layer 3 networking, including subnetting, routing, and switching
• Experience with Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, and ExpressRoute

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification
• Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert) Certification
