The A.C.Coy company has an immediate need for an Oracle/Linux Database Administrator.  Ideal candidates must have 10+ years of Oracle DBA and Linux OS administration experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform discovery of the current system and map out the business functions
  • Document and support the Oracle databases (11g, 19c) through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
  • Document and support the Linux OS (OL5, RH8, RH9) to include support of RPM packages supporting ssh, sftp, email, RPC and alerting functionality
  • Document and support the PHP scripts and Pro C applications for data processing between the Oracle databases and other systems
  • Document and support security solutions with SSL certificates and password hashing
  • Expertise in data analysis and interpretation to develop process mapping, modeling, and documentation
  • Configure and maintain database processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Support Compliance activities by performing annual system testing for adherence to IT System and Audit requirements, assists audit teams and internal audit teams as required, and performs Disaster Recovery testing as required
  • Guide the team through the database and OS upgrade process

Qualifications

  • Oracle DBA 11g/19c - 10+ years 
  • Linux OS support (OL5,RH9,RH8) experience
  • Process modeling and data mapping experience - 5+ years
  • Experience with database upgrade projects 
  • Experience analyzing and documenting Linux/Oracle systems running Linux operations/PHP and ProC applications - Preferred
