A.C. Coy is currently seeking candidates for a Desktop Administrator role. This individual will be responsible for the management, support, and optimization of all Windows 11 desktops and mobile devices within the organization. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in desktop administration, with hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for device management and expertise in supporting the Microsoft 365 application stack.

Responsibilities

  • Windows 11 Desktop Management:
    • Manage, configure, and maintain all Windows 11 desktops and laptops for end-users, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and up-to-date.
    • Oversee the deployment of Windows 11 updates and patches using Microsoft Intune, ensuring systems are running the latest security patches and features.
    • Configure and manage Windows Autopilot for device provisioning, allowing for streamlined setup and configuration of new Windows 11 devices.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues on Windows 11 desktops and laptops.
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM):
    • Manage and support mobile devices, including iPhones and Android devices, using Microsoft Intune as the MDM solution.
    • Configure security policies, app deployments, and device restrictions to ensure mobile devices are compliant with corporate standards.
    • Provide end-user support for mobile device issues, such as device enrollment, connectivity, and application configuration.
  • Microsoft 365 Application Support:
    • Provide end-user support for the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite of applications, including Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Assist users with issues related to M365 apps, such as login problems, app functionality, file syncing, and collaboration issues.
    • Configure and troubleshoot settings for OneDrive for Business and SharePoint, ensuring seamless file access and collaboration.
  • Device Provisioning & Deployment:
    • Deploy and configure new desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for users using Intune, ensuring that devices meet corporate standards and security requirements.
    • Manage Intune application deployment, ensuring that all required applications are installed and configured on devices in a timely manner.
    • Perform regular audits of device compliance, ensuring that devices meet security standards and company policies.
  • End-User Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support to end-users for issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and M365 applications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues in a timely manner, escalating to senior IT staff when necessary.
    • Ensure prompt resolution of service requests and issues through the company’s service management system.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Enforce security policies on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices to ensure compliance with corporate security standards.
    • Configure and manage antivirus software, and other security solutions on all devices to prevent malware and unauthorized access.
    • Use Intune compliance policies to ensure that all devices meet the necessary security and encryption requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of all desktop configurations, mobile devices, software installations, and system configurations.
    • Create and update user guides, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting documentation for common issues.
    • Provide regular reports on device status, including compliance, security issues, and deployment progress.
  • Collaboration and Training:
    • Collaborate with the broader IT team to implement new desktop management technologies and improve workflows.
    • Provide training and guidance to end-users on the effective use of desktop systems, mobile devices, and Microsoft 365 applications.
