Location: South Bay, California - Hybrid

The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant. Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of general accounting experience with proficiency in ERP, GAAP, and IFRS. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with General Accounting functions such as financial reporting, fixed assets management, inter-company accounting, and daily expense analysis
  • Assist with month end closing including preparing and posting of journal entries
  • Assist in monitoring and managing of day-to-day cost accounting function including Raw material, Work-in-process and Finished goods inventory management
  • Review open and close work orders to analyze and correct variances and costing errors in the system
  • Calculate inventory reserves and perform inventory reconciliations to report the final balances to Headquarter
  • Work with operations managers and planners to perform work orders weigh count and raw material and finished goods inventory cycle count audit
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly business review and Business Unit Staff meeting packages
  • Perform a monthly testing of internal controls to maintain internal controls and to ensure that the location follows internal audit and headquarters policies and procedures
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports as required by corporate headquarter
  • Assist controller with monthly forecast, planning and budgeting as needed

Qualifications

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Experience Required:

  • 7+ years of general accounting experience including experience with ERP, GAAP, and IFRS
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Oracle ERP preferred
