The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for a Tax Manager. Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of tax accounting experience including at least 1 years of supervisory experience working with both individual and corporate taxes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality service
  • Actively participate in and lead client meetings, planning sessions, and tax strategy discussions
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop new business for the firm
  • Represent the firm through networking activities, referral sources, professional organizations, and community involvement
  • Stay current on tax law changes, industry trends, and economic factors impacting clients and the firm
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach seniors, staff, and interns, providing guidance and performance feedback
  • Manage and delegate governmental tax examinations and represent clients before taxing authorities as needed
  • Ensure all prepared returns comply with applicable tax laws, regulations, and firm standards
  • Communicate significant engagement developments to partners, including identified issues and recommended solutions
  • Evaluate staff skills and workloads to ensure assignments align with experience and qualifications

Qualifications

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA, EA, or JD required

Experience Required

  • 6-10 years of progressive tax accounting experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory position with people development as a responsibility
  • Experience with SEC filings including Forms 10-K and 10-Q
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
